Rice University announced Thursday at least seven of its men’s basketball games will be broadcast regionally or nationally during the upcoming season.
Highlighted by both games against cross-town rival Houston, at least five of the Owls’ Conference USA games will be televised. The Feb. 8th game at Houston will be broadcast by FSN while the final regular-season game of the year against the Cougars in Tudor Fieldhouse (March 3) is one of four appearances Rice will make on CSS.
The Owls’ first scheduled televised game will come during the final day of the South Padre Island Invitational when Rice takes on IowaState. The game will be broadcast by CBS College Sports Network.
Both the Temple game (Dec. 19) and the UCF game (Feb. 22) will be televised by CSS and both will tip-off at 8 p.m. in Tudor Fieldhouse. The Owls road game at Southern Miss (Feb. 25) will also be televised by CSS.
Finally, the Owls’ New Year’s Eve game at Texas will be carried by the Longhorn Network and is set for a 1 p.m. tipoff.
