UCF's Masseny Kaba, Temple's Aniya Gourdine, Tulsa's Temira Poindexter Earn AAC Women's Hoops Honors for week ending February 6

The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly women's basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, February 6.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Masseny Kaba * 5th-year senior * Forward * UCF
Kaba enjoyed a big week for 2-0 UCF as the Knights increased their grip atop The American standings, averaging 17.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game. Kaba scored a career-high 21 points and added 11 rebounds and three steals in a 64-55 comeback win against Temple on January 31. Kaba closed the week with 13 points, eight boards and two blocks in a 71-57 win against Memphis on February 5.
FRESHMEN OF THE WEEK
Aniya Gourdine * Guard * Temple
Gourdine averaged a shade under a double-double in a 2-1 Temple week, logging 9.7 points, 10.3 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game. Gourdine posted 11 points, eight rebounds and three steals at UCF on January 31, 12 rebounds, eight assists and five steals in a 70-49 win over Wichita State on February 2 and went for a triple-double with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 60-59 victory against East Carolina on February 6.
Temira Poindexter * Forward * Tulsa
Poindexter erupted for 21.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest in a 1-1 Tulsa week. Poindexter scored 20 points with six rebounds and two steals in a heartbreaking 65-64 loss to Houston on February 2 before going off for 22 points, nine rebounds and a pair of blocks in a 65-58 win at Wichita State on February 6.
Weekly Honor Roll
Bria Patterson * Junior * Forward * Houston
Patterson averaged 11.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game in a 2-0 Houston road trip; scored 12 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in a win at SMU (February 6).
Savannah Wilkinson * Redshirt-Senior * Forward * SMU
Wilkinson registered 13.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game for 1-1 SMU; recorded 16 points and 14 rebounds in a victory at East Carolina (February 3).
Mia Davis * Graduate * Forward * Temple
Davis averaged 20.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for 2-1 Temple; tallied 20 points and six rebounds at UCF (January 31), became Temple's all-time leading scorer in an 18-point game against Wichita State (February 2) and closed the week with 22 points and eight rebounds in a win over East Carolina (February 6).
Moon Ursin * Redshirt-Senior * Guard * Tulane
Ursin posted 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest in a 2-0 Tulane week; scored 18 points and added five rebounds and four assists against Tougaloo College (February 2) before going for 18 points and six boards in a win at South Florida (February 6).
Maddie Bittle * Senior * Guard * Tulsa
Bittle averaged 13.5 points and 4.0 rebounds for 1-1 Tulsa; scored 16 points and pulled down four rebounds in a win at Wichita State (February 6).
