Cincinnati's IImar'I Thomas, Temple's Jasha Clinton Earn Season's Final Women's Basketball Weekly Awards

Here are the winners of the American Athletic Conference's weekly women's basketball honors, for the week ending Thursday, March 4.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
IImar'I Thomas * Senior * Forward * Cincinnati
Thomas closed the regular season with another signature performance for Cincinnati on the road at No. RV Houston on March 2, notching her conference-high fifth 30-point game of the season in a win over the Cougars. Thomas hit 10-of-18 shots from the floor to finish with an even 30 points while pulling down three rebounds and dishing out six assists in the victory. She also logged three blocks on the defensive end. Thomas remained on track to establish a single-season record for scoring in The American with 23.9 points per game over 22 starts.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Jasha Clinton * Freshman * Guard * Temple
Clinton helped lead the charge for Temple in a final week sweep of Memphis, averaging 22.0 points, 7.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game against the Tigers. Clinton tallied a double-double of 21 points and 11 assists in the opening game against Memphis on March 2, and later scored 23 points with a season conference-high eight steals in a game two victory against the Tigers on March 4.
Weekly Honor Roll
Alexa Williamson * Junior * Forward * Temple
Williamson averaged 23.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game for 2-0 Temple in a midweek sweep of Memphis; scored 29 points and added five rebounds and four steals in game one against the Tigers
JerKaila Jordan * Freshman * Guard * Tulane
Jordan scored 20 points and pulled down four rebounds to close regular season with a win over East Carolina; hit 7-of-10 shots from the floor and chipped in three steals against the Pirates
DJ McCarty * Sophomore * Guard * Wichita State
McCarty finished with 20 points and seven rebounds in an overtime victory at Tulsa; added a pair of assists and a blocked shot in the win against the Golden Hurricane
Alisha Lewis * Sophomore * Guard * UCF
Lewis averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game in a series split with No. 15 USF; scored 27 points which included 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc against the Bulls in game one
Laila Blair * Freshman * Guard * Houston
Blair tallied 19 points and three rebounds in final game of the regular season against Cincinnati; distributed four assists and logged four steals in the matchup with the Bearcats
