South Florida's Pinzan And Tulane's Ursin, Tulsa's Poindexter Highlight AAC Women's Hoops Week 5 Awards

The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league's weekly women's basketball honors, for the week ending Sunday, December 12.
CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Elisa Pinzan * Junior * Guard * South Florida
Pinzan scored a game-high 24 points and hit 6-of-9 shot attempts for No. 17/19 South Florida in a 64-57 comeback win at VCU on December 12. Pinzan tallied 22 of the 24 points in the second half and hit 3-of-4 attempts from 3-point range, helping the Bulls erase a 16-point deficit over the final 15 minutes of the contest.
Moon Ursin * Redshirt-Senior * Guard * Tulane
Ursin turned in the fifth triple-double in American women's basketball history, and the first since 2017, in a 91-84 win against Troy on December 8. Ursin logged 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to power the Green Wave in a team-high 37 minutes played, hitting 8-of-10 attempts from the free-throw line.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Temira Poindexter * Forward * Tulsa
Poindexter averaged 16.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game in a 2-0 Tulsa week, hitting 63.6 percent (14-of-22) of shots from the floor for the Golden Hurricane. Poindexter hit 9-of-13 attempts and logged 19 points with eight rebounds and two blocks versus Missouri S&T on December 8 and 13 points, four rebounds, three blocks and two steals in a win over Central Arkansas on December 12.

Smith scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting and added nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a UCF win over Mercer (December 12)
Malea Williams * Sophomore * Forward / Center * Cincinnati
Williams went a perfect 6-for-6 from the field for 14 points in only 18 minutes off the bench to help Cincinnati beat rival Xavier (December 12)
Taniyah Thompson * Junior * Guard * East Carolina
Thompson logged a game-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds and two steals for East Carolina in a home blowout of NC Central (December 6)
Savannah Wilkinson * Redshirt-Senior * Forward * SMU
Wilkinson logged her conference-high sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds in SMU's home victory against Delaware (December 7)
Wyvette Mayberry * Sophomore * Guard * Tulsa
Mayberry averaged 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game for 2-0 Tulsa; registered 19 points, five assists and three steals in a win over Missouri S&T (December 8) and added a career-high 24 points to go along with six rebounds and four steals versus Central Arkansas (December 12)
