"This has been a trying time for us all," Head Coach Sandy Pugh said. "Just being able to have the opportunity to play this season is a blessing many didn't think we'd have. We did lose two games based on the new NCAA-mandated earliest start date of November 25; but, the games we have left will make for an interesting 20-21 campaign. We can't wait to start preparations for the year. It's Go Time Panthers!"

NOTE: Prairie View A&M (2-11 SWAC), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-13 SWAC) and Mississippi Valley State (2-13 SWAC) all finished the season tied in wins and winning percentage amongst each other, but MVSU claimed the #8 seed by virtue of the league’s tie breaker policy which takes into account the tied teams in wins record against the highest seeded team proceeding downward (Alcorn State).
