Thomas had a record-setting week in back-to-back conference wins for Cincinnati, averaging 27.5 points, 11 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 80 percent (20-of-25) from the field. On Wednesday, she posted a 23-point, 14-rebound double-double as the Bearcats defeated Memphis 73-66. Thomas then put forth a career-high 32 points on 12-of-13 shooting and a perfect 8-of-8 from the foul line in Cincinnati’s 81-64 win over UCF, adding eight rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Kristyna Brabencova * Guard * USF
Brabencova was key in USF's 68-52 win at Tulsa on Sunday, scoring a career-high 17 points in 33 minutes. The freshman went 6-of-9 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers and 3-for-3 from the free throw line, snagging five rebounds. She rounded out her line with two assists, three steals and two blocks. The victory was USF's first road win of the season as the Bulls rose to 2-0 in league play.

Averaged a 19.5-point, 14.5-rebound double-double in conference wins over Houston and SMU; posted a conference-high 18 rebounds against the Cougars and recorded 23 points and 11 boards against SMU, shooting 57.1 percent from the field on the week
