HBU Huskies Women's Basketball Announces 2019-20 Schedule

The HBU women's basketball 2019-2020 schedule is highlighted by a road trip to defending national champion Baylor ahead of the newly-expanded 20-game Southland Conference schedule, Head Coach Donna Finnie announced Thursday.
The Huskies will start the season with back-to-back home games, first hosting LSU Shreveport in the opener on Tuesday, November 5, followed by Paul Quinn on November 12. HBU will then play four-straight on the road, beginning with Baylor (November 14), followed by a trip across town to Houston (November 17), then onto Oral Roberts (November 25) and Wichita State (November 26). The Huskies return home to face Northern Arizona (December 1), before wrapping up the non-conference slate on the road against ULM (December 7) and Texas Tech (December 15).
"Opening at home on November 5 will give our fans the chance to see some of our new faces in Sharp Gym, but we hope our supporters will come out and support us as we face cross-town rival Houston and, of course, make the short drive to Waco on November 14 when we take on the Lady Bears," Finnie said.

HBU begins Southland play at home against Stephen F. Austin (December 18) and Southeastern Louisiana (December 21), followed by a three-game road swing, starting with a New Year's Day matchup at Central Arkansas, then Northwestern State (Jan. 4) and Lamar (January 11). The Huskies come home to take on Sam Houston State (January 18) and Nicholls (January 22), then close out January on the road against McNeese (January 25) and Incarnate Word (January 29).
