American Athletic Conference Announces 2019-20 Women's Basketball Schedule

Thursday afternoon, the American Athletic Conference unveiled its 2019-20 women's basketball composite league schedule which consists of 96 conference contests. ESPN networks and CBS Sports Network will carry a total of 24 league matchups, with another 15 appearing on the American Digital Network.

Note: Last season, Forty-one games were nationally televised on ESPN networks and CBS Sports Network, with another 15 airing on the American Digital Network.

The American's 12 members will each play a 16-game schedule. Each team will play five of its 11 opponents twice, and six opponents once each – three at home and three away. The 2019-20 NCAA women's basketball season will tip off on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The American conference slate will begin on Sunday, Nov. 17 when UConn travels to Temple, and then picks up again the first week of January.

Nine conference matchups will be televised on ESPN networks, including ESPN2 and ESPNU, with an additional 15 games appearing on ESPN3. The American's ESPN slate begins on Sunday, January 5 with a pair of nationally televised contests, including Cincinnati at USF, at 1 p.m. CT, on ESPN2; and, Memphis at Houston, at 3 p.m. CT, on ESPNU. Every American team will appear on an ESPN network at least once.

All games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, computers, smartphones, tablets and streaming devices to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.

CBS Sports Network will air three conference games featuring five American squads. January will bring two CBS Sports Network telecasts, including ECU at UCF at 11 a.m. CT on Sunday, January 5; and, USF at Tulsa, at 5 p.m. CT, on Sunday, January 12. CBS Sports Network will then return to the conference for the final day of the regular season, when Wichita State travels to UCF for a 6 p.m. CT tip.

Fifteen conference women's basketball games will be produced and distributed live by the American Digital Network (ADN). The most in-depth coverage of the 2019-20 American Athletic Conference women's basketball season can once again be found on the ADN, the comprehensive streaming video platform of The American and its 12 member institutions. Live content will be available on Facebook at facebook.com/AmericanDigitalNetworkPlus, including full coverage of 2019 Basketball Media Day on October 14. The first ADN production is scheduled for Sunday, January 5, at 2 p.m. CT when Tulane travels to Wichita State.

The 2019 American Athletic Conference Women’s Basketball Championship will take place March 6-9 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. ESPN networks will provide live coverage of every game of the tournament. ESPN3 will carry the tournament's first six games, including four first-round matchups on Friday, March 6, and the quarterfinal games on Saturday, March 7. The conference semifinals will air on ESPNU and ESPN2 on Sunday, March 8, while the championship on Monday, March 9, will be at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN2.
