Cincinnati's IImar'I Thomas, Memphis' Madison Griggs Earn AAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards for Week 3 of 2019-'20 Season

IImar’I Thomas * Junior * Forward * Cincinnati
Thomas poured in a career-high 29 points to lead all scorers in Cincinnati’s 72-53 win over Chattanooga on Tuesday. She added a game-high seven rebounds with three assists and a block in 36 minutes. Thomas hit her point total on 12-of-18 (66.7 percent) shooting from the field and 5-of-7 from the foul line. Her performance bettered her previous career-high of 25 points, which she scored last week against Ohio State.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Madison Griggs * Freshman * Guard * Memphis
Griggs set the Memphis program record with eight 3-pointers in the Tigers’ 83-76 win at Toledo on Sunday. All of her field goals came from beyond the arc as she tallied a career-high 24 points to go along with three rebounds. Her performance tied the American Athletic Conference freshman record for 3-pointers in a game, set in 2016 by USF's Kitija Laksa. Earlier in the week, Griggs scored four points with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in Memphis' 70-66 victory over Southern Illinois.

Posted a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double in USF's battle with No. 2 Baylor Tuesday, adding an assist, a block and three steals; added eight points and six rebound in 21 minutes against Saint Francis on Sunday

Scored a career-high 24 points on 55.6 (10-of-18) shooting in Temple's 72-61 win at Bucknell, rounding out her line with five rebounds and two assists
Seraphine Bastin * Sophomore * Guard * Wichita State
Led Wichita State with a career-high 20 points against Louisiana Tech, shooting 5-of-7 from the field and 9-of-14 from the foul line; grabbed eight rebounds, swiped three steals and dished our four assists in the 88-80 win
