Kennedi Heard commits to Prairie View

Friday, September 28, Kennedi Heard announced she'll continue her education at Prairie View A&M University and play basketball for women's basketball head coach Sandy Pugh.

Kennedi, 5'10", attends Captain Shreve High School in Louisiana. She plays AAU / grassroots basketball for Lady Flames Elite.
Last season, Heard helped lead the Lady Gators to the Class 5A semifinals of the Louisiana High School Athletic Association. The trip to the state semifinals was the first for the Captain Shreve squad in the school's 50 years of girls basketball.
Heard averaged 15.9 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, 3.75 spg last season and was voted to the All-District First Team by the coaches and to the Shreveport Times' First Team.
The Louisiana Sports Writers Association voted Heard to the Class 5A All-State Second Team.
The Early Signing Period to sign National Letters of Intent is November 14-21, 2018.
