Rockets Claim Ray Spalding off Waivers

Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has claimed forward / center Ray Spalding off waivers from Atlanta.
Spalding (6'10", 215) was originally the 56th overall pick by Philadelphia in the 2018 NBA Draft before his rights were acquired by Dallas. Spalding appeared in one game for the Mavericks in addition to 13 games for Phoenix last season. In 29 G League games for the Texas Legends, Spalding averaged 15.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.2 blocks, and 1.7 steals.
