The Houston Roundball Review has learned La Marque High School's Jesseika Palmer made an unofficial visit to the Houston Cougars Friday afternoon.

An unofficial visit occurs "when an athlete visits a college campus with parents or other family members, or with some of their friends, at their own expense".

Palmer, 6'0", is considered one of the top high school players in the country in the Class of 2012. Palmer is ranked 55th nationally by Hoop Gurlz.

Palmer averaged 16.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game in 2010-2011.

Palmer is versatile enough to play point guard, shooting guard, and the wing position effectively. Though she's yet to choose her top five college choices, Palmer's visit to the University of Houston is a strong indicator, head coach Todd Buchanan's Houston Cougars are in the mix.
