POSTED: May 30, 2011 -- 1:45 p.m. CDT
The Houston Roundball Review has learned the Houston Cougars are adding another player to the 2011-2012 team: Terran Alford is expected to join head coach Todd Buchanan's club.
Alford is 6'1". She's a home-schooled student-athlete. Alford played basketball for the Oklahoma City Storm. Alford is a 2011 National Christian HomeSchooled Basketball Championship (NCHBC) All-American.
Alford averaged 10 pts and 3 rebounds per game in her senior season. Her basketball skill set is described as athletic but raw and she "has a lot of potential". A scouting report states "Alford scores well around the basket; runs the floor well; and has good footwork."
UH is expected to send a press release Wednesday, June 1.
