HOUSTON, TX (Toyota Center) -- Despite making just 4 of her 12 shots from the field, Tamecka Dixon played a solid ball game contributing 12 points; seven rebounds; and six assists in the Houston Comets' 66-56 win over the Los Angeles Sparks.

Dixon scored eight points in the fourth quarter including a pull-up jumper to cool a run by the LA Sparks and increase the Comets' lead to 50 to 46 with 7:32 in the ball game.

After the game, Dixon admitted the Comets' chances of making the playoffs are slim; but, she told The HRR: "...crazier things have happened..."

With tonight's win, the Comets' record improves to 9 and 18 on the season.
