Monet Neal makes a verbal commitment to the Houston Baptist Huskies

Monet Neal, 5'10" forward, has verbally committed to head coach Mary Gleason and the Houston Baptist University (HBU) Huskies.

Neal is a member of the 2012 Class; and, she's ranked #12 in San Antonio by She's Ballin and by the River City Hoop Scoop.

Neal plays her high school ball at Taft in San Antonio, TX. Neal also plays AAU basketball for the Sophia Young Elite.

Neal is an exceptional athlete with extra-ordinary leaping ability. Neal is "strong, fast and can jump out of the gym. She is a natural post player that is working to develop her perimeter skills."

The early National Letter of Intent signing period begins November 9th and ends November 16th. The regular signing period starts April 11, 2012.
