Texas Southern hires 2 new assistant coaches for women's hoops

Yolanda Broughton, head women's basketball coach at Texas Southern University, has hired two new assistant coaches, Kerrie Patterson-Brown and Scott Hyland.
This news was first reported in the "Women's Scoop" section of BasketballScoop.com on Friday, July 22.
The Houston Roundball Review received news of the hires this evening; and, Coach Broughton was contacted to verify the hires. She answered news of the hires is "correct".
Coach Patterson-Brown was a head coach at Huston-Tillotson for five seasons. Her last season at Huston-Tillotson was the 2009-2010 season. Patterson-Brown is a native Houstonian. She attended Jack Yates High School; and, she played collegiately at Texas A&M from 1995-1999. Patterson-Brown was also an assistant coach for the Aggies for three seasons.
Coach Hyland was the head coach at Texas A&M-Kingsville for four seasons; but, his contract was not renewed after the 2010-2011 season. Hyland had a 44-64 record at A&M-Kingsville.
