Arsalan Kazemi named to C-USA Preseason All-Conference First Team

Rice Owls junior forward, Arsalan Kazemi, is one of three juniors to be named to the 2011-2012 Conference USA Preseason All-Conference Team today.
Last season, Kazemi earned a spot on the 2011 All-Conference USA second team as the league's top rebounder (11.0 rpg) and the Owls' leading scorer (15.2 ppg). He was the only C-USA player to average a double-double and registered a league-record-tying 18 double-doubles for the season. Kazemi ranked seventh nationally in rebounding, and had the nation's second-best defensive rebounding rate (30.8 percent).
UAB senior forward Cameron Moore was selected as the 2011-12 Conference USA Men's Basketball Preseason Player of the Year and was the only senior voted to the league's preseason first team by the 12 head coaches.
